The Mpowering Youth Project is for young people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or exploring their understanding of their sexual orientation. The group meets twice each month in Coleraine and is run by The Rainbow Project and funded by The Big Lottery Fund. As well as 2 weekly meeting we take part in other events around Ireland and further and run activites at other times. If you are aged 14 to 25, identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or questioning your understanding of your sexual orientation you are very welcome to come along. If you need support before coming to the group staff from The Rainbow Project can see you at premises that are a safe and confidential setting (please understand that if you are under 18 two members of staff will be required to meet with you). If you have someone already who is 18 or over and you have trusted them to tell them about YOU then you can chose to bring them along for support to meet with staff. We will aim to make this as comfortable and safe as YOU NEED.
